Games
The Middle School team competes in the NVSHL (Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League), and the High School team competes in the CSHL (Capital Scholastic Hockey League).
In addition to league play, teams participate in non-league games, host a Thanksgiving tournament, compete in the West Virginia State Championships, and take part in end-of-season tournaments and Spring League.

Q: What ages are eligible for the High School team?
A: High School players must be in grades 9–12 (Birth Years 2008–2011)
Q: Why do we need to provide a $100 deposit?
A: A $100 non-refundable roster deposit is required once you receive a roster offer. This deposit secures your player’s spot on the team as determined by the evaluators and is standard practice for rostered programs.
Roster decisions will be communicated via email within 5 days of tryouts. Once you receive your offer, you will have 24 hours to accept your roster spot and submit your deposit. If you choose to decline your roster placement, you must notify the coach and administrator within 24 hours. If we do not receive notification within that timeframe, it will be assumed that you are accepting the roster spot and the $100 non-refundable deposit will be due.
Q: What is the payment structure?
A: The total season fee, minus the $100 roster deposit, can be paid in full at the time you accept your roster offer or through a payment plan.
The payment plan divides the remaining balance into four monthly installments, beginning July 15, 2026, with the final payment due October 15, 2026. All balances must be paid in full by October 15, 2026.
Note: A second online registration will be required for all rostered players to complete payment setup. Payments can be made via credit card or EFT.
Q: When do uniforms need to be ordered and what is included?
A: Uniforms must be ordered immediately after registration to ensure timely delivery for the season. Required items include: white and blue game jerseys, shell, white and blue socks, and a reversible practice jersey.
Q: How many games are played each season?
A: The number of games will vary each season. League play typically includes 8–10 games. In addition, we aim to schedule as many non-league games as possible. Our season also includes the Thanksgiving Tournament, West Virginia State Championships, and games against WV high school teams such as Morgantown, Wheeling Central, Wheeling Catholic, Linsley, and Charleston. We also participate in a Spring League.
We are always looking to add more games—our philosophy is simple: the more games, the better, and we are willing to travel to compete.
2026-2027 Season
Our high school program will feature two teams: a JV team and a Varsity team, with Varsity serving as our National Bound team. JV players may be called up throughout the season but will primarily be rostered on the JV team. Being part of our high school program requires commitment, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Players are expected to compete at a high level, support their teammates, represent the program with integrity, and take pride in wearing the Vipers jersey both on and off the ice.
