Today is the day!

We are incredibly honored to have so many members of the Viper family joining us tonight as we walk to honor the 30 service members and Military Working Dog BART who made the ultimate sacrifice aboard Extortion 17.

A few reminders before we begin:

Hotel Room Available: The Vipers have reserved a hotel room for tonight near the White House, next to Metro Center. If at any point during the event you are unable to continue and need to rest, you are welcome to use the room. Just let me know, and we'll make sure you have the information.

Supplies:Please review the email that 31 Heroes sent out earlier this week and make sure you have all of the recommended supplies with you before arriving.

 Viper Meeting:We will meet at 7:15 PM at the War Memorial for a brief Viper team meeting before the event officially begins.

Thank you to every one of you for choosing to spend your night honoring these courageous heroes and ensuring their sacrifice is never forgotten. It is truly inspiring to stand beside each of you as we walk together in remembrance.

If you’ve already registered for the 31 Miles for 31 Heroes Walk/Ruck on Saturday, August 1st, but did NOT register under the WV Vipers Extortion group, please take a moment to update your registration and move it to our team.

Registering under the WV Vipers Extortion group helps ensure everyone is counted together as we honor the 31 heroes of Extortion 17 and represent the Viper family as one team.

As the leaders of our club, we're asking our Vipers Varsity players and families to join us for the 31 Miles for 31 Heroes event on Saturday, August 1st in Washington, D.C.

This is an opportunity to honor the heroes of Extortion 17, give back to an incredible cause, and demonstrate what it truly means to wear a Vipers jersey.

Our Varsity team sets the standard for our club. We need you to lead by example and show our JV and Middle School players what it means to serve something greater than yourself. Leadership isn't just demonstrated on the ice—it's shown through character, service, and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

You don't have to complete all 31 miles. Whether you walk one mile or all 31, every step is taken in remembrance of our nation's heroes.

Because honoring them is not a moment—it is a responsibility.
